Hi, I'm Joel Ross, newborn and wedding photographer in Winnipeg, Manitoba! I'm loving being able to update daily and keep in touch with clients and friends in such a visual and interactive way. I'm passionate about capturing exactly what you have in mind and value your thoughts and inspiration. I love the romantic and candid moments that when developed stir alive the emotions of anticipation. I'm charismatic and have an innate ability to identify with my clients, guaranteeing breathtaking photos that materialize the perfect session.
Since beginning my career in 1996, I've been awarded Photographer of the Year, have spoken at various photography conventions around the world, and have enjoyed photographing over 1000 weddings, offering you the assurance that my experience matches my enthusiasm. But more than anything I want you to look back on your experience with me and LOVE IT!
Besides loving my craft, I am in love with my wife Eve and our two precious daughters, one who looks just like Eve, and the other who looks just like me! I love God, my scooter, red wine, espresso, and spending time with family. I think it's because of my passions and values that I strive to capture the uniqueness of each love story in the unique way that I do, a sensitivity to my art surpassed only with my passion for an extraordinary client experience.

I love the name you gave to your baby… Rielle… gorgeous, and what a sweet little girl. Congratulations!! It was so good to see you and hang out the other day during the session while we waited for your angel to fall asleep… which she never did Guess she was waiting for her car seat and a cozy ride home instead! Oh well, the images were awesome and I loved the props you brought. Nice touch with the jersey and goalie pads… here comes the next little hockey player!

Today’s wedding was awesome in so many ways. First, although it felt like -40 outside this morning, Brenna called to move all the pix indoors – thank you thank you thank you!! Off goes the long johns! Instead of shooting at the Basilica, we went to the Leg for most of the pictures and the look was perfect for Brenna – very classy and elegant.
The second thing that was especially fun today was that Desmond joined me as a second shooter and created some amazing images from other angles that captured some awesome expressions! Thanks Des – hopefully we can work together again someday – that was awesome.
Third, it’s been a few weeks since my last wedding and it was just a lot of fun getting out and trying some new ideas that I’ve been thinking up lately. Not to mention, the Hindu ceremony pictures are always so fun to create. Thankfully the smoke detector didn’t go off with all that incense!!

Last week on one of the last days before it snowed Noel and Yoanne and I had an awesome time photographing at Assiniboine Park. I am so looking forward to their wedding – both are so photogenic and animated – can’t wait!!
